According to the study, as many as 25% of U.S. car crashes involve drivers distracted by an electronic device. Talking on cell phones, texting while driving and otherwise playing with a gadget are some of the most common distractions.
With mounting evidence of the dangers that these devices pose to the driving public, it is mind-boggling that New York has still not made using such a device a primary moving violation. Urge your legislators to vote in favor of Governor Cuomo’s tougher distracted driver legislation.
