New York City Traffic Congestion Is The Second Worst In The Country

After Los Angeles, New York City drivers wasted the most time out of 90 metropolitan areas.

According to the Urban Mobility Report conducted by the Texas Transportation Institute, the average New York City motorist wasted 44 hours due to rush-hour traffic congestion in 2007.

The study found that it took New York City drivers 37% longer to get to his or her destination when driving during peak time periods resulting in $8.18 million in lost time.
