Amnesty For Some Types Of New York Traffic Tickets

When there is enough snow to require plows, a proposed law (likely to be passed) will suspend alternative-side parking rules. The effect of this law will be to eliminate New York City parking tickets being issued to motorists’ car trapped under mounds of snow.

Of course, this law makes a lot of sense.  If you are unable to get your car dug out, you shouldn’t be issued a ticket.  Further, in such conditions, the City should want to encourage drivers to stay put to allow for easier plowing.
