Fox 5 News reported tonight that in 2005, motorists won 36% of the NYC parking tickets they challenged but in 2008 only won 16%. The report opined that there is pressure on judges to find people guilty or, otherwise, they are not given many hours to work at the PVB. It added that parking judges rush motorists through their hearings and are obsessed with their numbers. Finally, the report noted that there were 10 million parking tickets issued in 2008 resulting in $624,000,000 in revenue for the City.
