Speeding Ticket Issued To Actor Matt Dillon

I don’t usually comment about celebrity with traffic problems but actor Matt Dillon is an exception. He was pulled over in Newbury, Vt and charged with going 106 mph in 65 mph limit. Even for a seasoned New York traffic attorney, this is excessive.

In New York, a 106/55 carries 11 points, roughly a $500 fine, a $675 Driver Assessment Fee plus a possible suspension.  Once in a while, I hear about motorists who are even incarcerated (up to 15 days) for excessive speeds.
