A Pretty Woman Is Unlikely To Receive A Speeding Ticket

In a recent study, two economics professors conclude, among other things, that young women are the least likely demographic to be ticketed by officers. The study is called “In Political Economy At Any Speed: What Determines Traffic Citations?” by Professors Michael D. Makowsky and Thomas Strattman.

My personal experience is similar. Having appeared in 100s of traffic courts throughout New York for many years, I can tell you that the odds are against seeing a beautiful, young women there.
