The Daily News recently reported that Yankee Alex Rodriguez, the late George Steinbrenner, Jay-Z’s driver and other VIPs were able to get traffic tickets fixed. Cops also made tickets “disappear” for City Council members.
These revelations emerged as the Bronx District Attorney’s Office continues its investigation into the NYPD ticket-fixing scandal.
A-Rod was allegedly speeding on the West Side Highway in 2009 but his traffic ticket was later squashed. Similarly, Jay-Z’s driver’s speeding ticket got “lost”.
Up to 40 police officers could be indicted in the scandal with another 100 facing disciplinary charges.
