Traffic tickets are big business in New York City and getting one to “fall through the cracks” just got harder.
The NYPD announced that it is implementing a new electronic scanning system for traffic tickets, parking tickets, “C” summons for quality of life violations and environmental violations. The new system will make it very difficult for police officers to fix a ticket for friends or family as every ticket will be entered in the system (even before issuance) and tracked. In fact, NYPD will be double tracking — at the precinct and borough headquarters. If a ticket goes disappears, Internal Affairs will commence a probe.
Don’t throw away your PBA cards, however, as an officer can still give you a break during a car stop.

How do I get a PBA card ?
I believe you can get one by donating to the PBA or if you know a NYPD officer.
It seems like everyone has one so, from what i hear, they aren’t as widely accepted as you might expect.
