The Wall Street Journal recently reported that speedometers are “notoriously inaccurate”. Typically, speedometers overstate a car’s speed by 3 to 5 mph. Of course, overstating a vehicle’s speed is better than understating it. In any event, keep this fact in mind when driving around.
