New York Truck Ticket Violations
UPDATE: Effective November 6, 2024, DMV sought to change the look back period for points from a New York moving violation conviction to 24 months (currently 18 months). This change has NOT yet be implemented, however. DMV needs to update its computer system before it can make this change effective. Further, under the new proposed law, a conviction for operating a truck that is too tall and strikes a bridge or structure while going through, under or over, under VTL 385 (2) and (14) will carry 11 points and a $675+ Driver Responsibility Assessment Fee.
