As reported yesterday, the New York DMV announced a money raising initiative to require 10 million license plates to each be replaced with a newly design NY plate at a cost of $25 per vehicle. In 24 hours, the response has been loud and negative. Don’t do it!
New York Governor David Paterson now says that he will re-consider this poorly-conceived money-grab. Good chance it will die avoiding one of the most anti-Green measures that New York State has attempted in a long time. Keep your fingers crossed.
