From now through May 9th, Nassau County will have extra police officers out on the road enforcing traffic laws such as speeding, unsafe lane changes and failure to yield the right of way. Be extra cautious to avoid being snared.

With the way some of these road rage maniacs drive on the LIE, tailgating dangerously close, cutting off cars, weaving in and out of lanes without signaling, I welcome this crackdown. The problem is not as bad in Suffolk County as it is in Nassau County.
