NY Driver Safety Class A Must For New York Drivers

The New York Driver Safety Class is usually taken by motorists with an existing or potential point problem because it removes 4 points from your license. Another reason to take it is the 10% savings off your auto insurance.
But now there appears to be another good reason … education. According to the results of a national driver test recently conducted by GMAC Insurance, New Yorkers are the least educated drivers in the country.
The test measures how much motorists know about safe driving and was given to more than 5,000 drivers throughout the US.

New York finished dead last in this years’ survey. By the way, in 2008, New York finished third to last last. The smartest drivers are from Idaho according to test results.

GMAC said about the results that out of roughly 41 million drivers on the road, 20% “would not pass a written drivers test exam if taken today” with most having trouble with what to do about an amber light and how far is a safe better than younger drivers with the largest age group category being yount adults.
